Statistics with R

R has become one of the most popular and versatile applications for conducting statistical analyses in recent years.

In this course, I will introduce you to the world of R for statistical analysis. This is relevant to you, among other things, if you…

– enjoy conducting scientific analyses

– work with reporting in organizations

– would like to develop a little more in the direction of data science

I do all of this using a clear teaching strategy: you will learn, in a highly practice-oriented way, what is actually important. We will leave everything else aside for now — this is not one of those many courses that uses 100 hours of instruction to show you every conceivable function in R. On the contrary: I want to enable you to load, prepare, and ultimately analyze quantitative data independently and confidently using an appropriate statistical test. And that requires just one thing: focus. That is exactly what I offer you in this course. We will focus on the areas of R that really matter; along the way, I will point out possible directions for future development.

From a statistical perspective, we will focus primarily on testing relatively simple hypotheses about differences and relationships. You can read about the exact content in the (annotated) curriculum.

So, are you ready to get started with statistics in R ? See you in the course!
